Hello and welcome. This is Nolan with DiscoverNCHomes and Nolan’s News. I have a very special guest with me here today, Amanda Blamowski with Blamowski’s Island Charcuterie.

Did I get that right? Thanks for coming here. So, I wanted to get this invite out guys: on January 19th at 4:30 PM we are going to do a special event with Amanda at the Reserve Club at St. James Plantation. Seats are limited. We have about 30 or 40 seats. So if you’d like to attend, Amanda’s gonna come and put a beautiful charcuterie board together to show us how it’s done. Please RSVP or email me or whatever, but just get in touch because we will have limited seats.

So again, without further ado, Amanda please tell us a little bit about what you do in your business and there’ll also be some links to her Facebook page as well.

Amanda
Absolutely. Thank you. I came here just a couple years ago from Four Keys where I was a catering director. I would do dinner parties from 10 people up to under a 300 person fundraising gala one time. I always had chefs that did everything for me, but they always let me take over anything like this. They always had so much fun doing it. The class will be more about how to style your cheeses and your meats and make it look pretty, how to entertain your guests with what you’ve got to offer them.

The fun thing about these boards is that every bite is different. So you can take a piece of bread and strawberry and honey, and have a bite or a blueberry and a cracker and blue cheese. But it’s the best way to entertain your guests and have fun and have everybody kind of gather around and be entertained the whole time.

The whole class is gonna be about how to style the board, put it together, different ways to do it. It’s not really hard. It’s all about being creative. I like a little bit of symmetry, but really my brain works a little crazy and I just like to put it all out there for everybody to have fun. Looks like a party on a platter.

It really does. It looks beautiful and more importantly, looks delicious. So we’re gonna try it after this video.
