Thrifty Business
Most of my life I have been a typical “starving artist.” Before incorporating the real estate world into the business plan for my life, I found innovative ways to make ends meet and to acquire the needs for myself and family largely through the resale market. It is not only a cost effective way to provide, but, also environmentally friendly by supporting the reduce, reuse, recycle values that I try to uphold. I use this as great quality time and will often venture out to “The Treasure Hunt Store” with my daughter because you never know what you’ll find!
The recent Netflix show Tidying up with Marie Kondo has also seen an amazing increase of amazing quality items into the resale that may not “spark joy” for some but are instantly a treasure in a new home. A lot of the local thrift and resale stores also benefit local organizations so at the same time you are acquiring for yourself you are helping local organizations as well with your purchases or donations. I wanted to share my list of local haunts that I frequent and share a couple of my BFOD’s or “Best Finds of the Day” from my treasure hunts.
